They whisper of how she would lure ships onto the rocks with conjured images of clear seas, only to return later to retrieve their bloated and decaying bodies from the deep water to satiate her own hunger.  While none have claimed to see her and lived, many say that Serenea was for a time captured by the councilors of Silversail and kept as a scribe, but whether this is merely fiction is unclear.
