- Dropped by Gnoll Warriors, Mountain Trolls, and Mystic Formations.
- Given to Scrap Metal Dealer for 1,000 gold.
- Can receive Iron Shards from giving the Grinder certain items. Most notably, the Rusted Iron Plate, which is a farmable drop.
- Give 4 Iron Shards and a Metal Casting Mold to the Blast Furnace to create a Iron Bar.
- Used in the 1-alt leveling system to reach level 33.
