Timidly poking its nose and upper body out from the narrow tunnel-like burrow it calls home, the meerkat is normally a shy and timid creature. This particular animal though must be cornered and cut off from the rest of its underground nest. With a speed reminiscent of its cousin, the mongoose, the meerkat darts out from one hole to attack before hiding, only to reappear behind you a moment later.
