All monsters in Nightmist respawn on a series of server-wide timers: one minute, ten minutes, one hour and one day, therefore it is possible to predict when lesser monsters will reappear after being killed.

Tell-Tale Lag Spike

The "Tell-Tale Lag Spike" is a period of several seconds where the game client becomes unresponsive due to server-side latency, and indicates when a large number of monsters have respawned. This normally occurs when the ten-minute timer triggers and the server is overloaded with monster respawn requests, ignoring requests from clients until it completes the cycle.
