Caladus

As a journeyman, Caladus became an arena favorite not because of his victories but because of his tremendously narrow defeats. A generation of Coliseum patrons would come week after week to watch Caladus come closer and closer to defeating the Bristlemane Wolf, only to fall short by a hair's width each time. His time in the arena developed his skills and his position as a master of the arena was cemented when he stood alone against the Herald of the Damned after a brutal combat. Caladus emerged victorious at last. Scores of young gladiators have gathered here to listen to his stories of glory and to obtain his validation of their own successes.
